Just an extra thought which is why not book a lounge at Miami Airport and at least spend some of your time there away from the hurley-burley of the general airport melee. You can find these airport lounges on the net and the cost is about £20 each. Some refreshments are available in them along with free alcohol, should you wish, comfy armchairs and relaxed atmosphere. No smoking is allowed. The lounge at MIA unfortunately is before you go through security so allow a little extra time to go through to boarding. You can spend up to three hours here so make sure that you book three hours plus half an hour to reach the departure area. Other airports have lounges after security area which is even better. ... Neil.
And American airports are not like ours - with miles of wonderful duty-free shopping like in T5 to keep you amused for hours - there is one small Hudsons News and somewhere to get a burger and that is your lot!
Hi you will have to be off by 9-30 latest and you should be able to book a tour which could kill some time and it will drop you off at the airport. They may have booked a day room at a hotel check with your agent,if so you can take a taxi into town or relax by the pool,in either case take a good book your still hanging around for a long time?
You will be off the ship by 9am latest. If you have booked your flts with RCI you will be taken straight to the airport. Sometimes if your flight is late you will be provided with a day room at a hotel - check. Otherwise you can do an excursion that shows you the sights of Miami or the Everglades that kills time and will drop you at the airport around 2pm. Alternatively arrange for a carhire from the port and spend the day at one of the Outlet Malls (Sawgrass mills) or on the beach at South Beach (SoBe) and drop the car off at the airport yourself in good time for your flight.
