Find Your Cruise
Went on Ocean Village whilst I was pregnant and checked out the Night Nursery as we planned to cruise again after having our son. It looked fine and there were plenty of travel cots. Have since had my son and this year travelled on a Fred Olsen cruise with him (he was 6 mths old). The holiday was superb, staff and passengers made such a fuss of the baby, would happily cruise again with an infant. We would take him to dinner with us and he would fall asleep in his pushchair, doubt I would have needed to use a nursery even if it was on offer. Don't let others put you off, I'm sure you will have a great time.
Cruises are no for (RUG RATS) children, what happens if the ocean is rough, why should they suffer when my son was a baby and young i tok him to Spain it is not a child suitable holiday get real, sorry don't mean to sound rude but are you in the real world or just selfis.
Cowan could well learn punctuation and spelling.........
On P&O (better facilities I think) you can use any phone on the ship to dial your room and it becomes a baby-monitor, you hear all the sounds in your room. The nursery facilities are great and are available until approx 2am. We are grandparents and enjoying it but our cruises have never been spoiled by children. Still think it depends on the cruise line though.....
Don't be put off by ill educated people. I have been travelling with my two girls since they were tots on cruises all over the world. Why, well because we love cruising and its a safe environment with people who are trained to look after them properly, with all the medical facilities at hand you could need. P&O are very good, as are Princess. Should you wish to leave your child in the nursery, you let them know where you will be and if a problem arises they will contact you.Happy cruising.
