Find Your Cruise
There are certain laundry's on some of the decks, but they are small however but usable ,you can do your own,if you wish them to be done for you there is a charge, the cabin steward would arrange this for you.
There are laundries on P&O ships with ironing boards etc. Or you can give it to your steward to go to the ships laundry. about 2.50 to 3.00 for a shirt.
When i was on the summitt they had a very good laundry service and they gave you a price list for each item i used it twice and i also washed a few small items myself but it kept you with clean fresh clothes all the time without bringing home a lot of washing good luck on your cruise when you go but they do give you a price list thats what they did on the summitt anyway.
Never used the laundry but the laundry list costs were reasonable on a leaflet delivered to the cabin also on accommodation decks there are laundry rooms with washing machines and ironing board. I would suggest you ask your cabin steward for the list of costs.
You basically have two options
1. Use the free Launderettes and do it yourself
Soap powder etc can be purchased at the shop or you could even bring your own from home
2.Use the excellent on board Laundry service
Ask your cabin steward for a laundry bag
Bung all your dirty clothes in (no need to sort)
complete with a laundry list
You steward will collect and hey presto your nice clean clothes beautifully pressed will be returned to your cabin in a couple of days
Service is reasonably priced but can mount up on a long cruise
But do you really want to spend your cruise washing clothes !!!
When we were on it you just took your luck, you just take your washing to the laundry, a god idea is to take some small packets of washing powder with you before you leave home, as otherwise you have to buy it on board, Just leave your washing to in the machine and go and sunbathe. When you go back to collect it it may have finished and sometime if it is busy, which it can be on the last few days if coming through the bay of biscay, back to Southampton, there are baskets to put the finished washing in, and passengers then empty your machine and leave it in the basket for you to collect or iron. .
Place it in the bag provided, the crew will sort i.
Just go the laundry room and stick them in the washer, but be careful as if you leave the room and your washing has finished somebody will come and take it out. If you are talking about them being professionally cleaned there are bags in the wardrobe with the prices on. I have used the laundry room on numerous occasions. They are top loaders so take some non automatic powder with you or you can buy Ariel in the gift shop - but at a price.
There are at least 2 laundries on Arcadia and they are free to use (well they were last year). If I remember correctly there are two or three washing machines and the same number or dryers.
