Firstly, have a look at itineraries, then decide if you prefer formal nights or casual cruising(Ocean village,NCL I think),do you want to dine with other people? A table of 8 second sitting suits us,should at least get on with someone on the table!Costa,Princess,MSC all very good.Food & service generally excellent.

I would also recommend checking out Royal Caribbean Line they have lots of different itineraries and type/size of ship to suit all - you can do formal or casual, whichever you prefere and there is usually a great mix of ages etc- also suggest to book 2nd sitting for dinner so you have plenty of time to get ready if you have been off ship all day .
