Anti slip bath mats are not usually provided as standard in shower cubicles. The whole shower tends to be factory moulded so there may be some general anti slip resistance as you would expect in a cubicle but this may not be adequate for your friend. As you were unable to get a disabled cabin I would ask he stateroom attendant to get a non slip mat when you embark - to be on the safe side I would also email your cruise line with the request in advance. Hope this is a bit of help. David Powell, travel journalist .
Thank you david for your answer, we have notified rci re the scooter etc , can you shed any light on getting around the ship on it etc , ive already been advised to try and get dining room on deck 5 , it seems easier to get to than other floors , any helpful imfo given many thanks in advance .
Ask your t/a to request a shower stool if that will help. You should have been sent a medical questionnaire if you are bringing a scooter as RCI need the dimensions. Again ask your T/A if you have not.
