You can buy a pack containing enough adaptors to cover European and American sockets. You then are suited for going anywhere but be aware of the voltage which need not necessarily suit all electrical items ... Nei.

Your phone may have a 2pin USA styled plug which you can use but take a multi plug adapter which will cover all plug combinations they have a dual voltage system 240/110 vol.

It will take you longer to charge your phone if you use the US socket than if you use the European socket I found out recently.
