Venice is a series of canals. Where is your hotel? This will depend on whether you can get their by road or whether you have to swap to water. The ATVO bus from airport to Piazzale Roma costs €4. Taxi to PR costs around €35. At Piazzale Roma you swap to the vaporetto down the Grand Canal to the stop closest to your hotel. A 24h pass is €16. Or you can catch a private water taxi from the airport which will cost well over €100. This site tells you all you need to know: http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/articles/vaporetto_routes.htm.
