Very interesting reading.............it seems us meer mortals dont have a say in what or how we spend our money anymore...........if thats what they have done ..and you dont get the option to get your bank etc to change over then thats a very sneaky thing to do ....especially if they DONT make it a clear statement on future paperwork.
Thank you for bringing this to light i wonder how long it will take the other cruise lines to do the same it is bad news for all of us as they have removed the option /competition of conversion and left customer's no option but to accept the rci conversion rate which no doubt will be the lowest .
I was recently on the Alaskan cruise with Celebrity and opted for my bank's recommendation that they do the conversion. When I received the bank statement I found that I would have been better off accepting the ship's rate of exchange.
Sorry to hear that, but there have numerous complaints to the opposite on this site & other worldwide sites regarding this matter. Is your bank manager's name Al Capone......only joking!
Hi - I have just printed off the seapass for the other half who is off on Indie this bank holiday weekend - leaving me behind to work - and his seapass DOES still include the A/B options.
Yes I believe this is 'next years' plan by RCI.
Hi Wilba. Do you have any further information regarding RCI removing the option for passengers to choose if their bank/credit card company can do the currency conversion?
Many thanks. Lisa.
