Find Your Cruise
Definately avoid the art auctions or if you go, enjoy the free bubbly but take all the spiel with a pinch of salt. I've bought a number of limited edition prints on a couple of cruises - the first with P&O I'm happy with as I've actually seen the same prints for more in a gallary in Canary Wharf at much more than I paid, however on the last cruise aboard Navigator of the Seas we bought a couple more from Park West Galleries in the US who are now the subject of a class action brought by people who spent literally hundreds of thousands on what have turned out to be fakes! We spent a few hundred on a couple of prints that I actually like very much - allegedly signed by the artist but to be honest they could have been signed by the staff (and allegedly often were, according to the class action!) I guess the message is - if it looks too good to be true it is, and if you're going to buy good art, go to a reputable gallery or dealer. If you like a cheaper piece you can always take the chance that its genuine but enjoy it for its own sake if its not - just dont treat it as an investment.
Art auction bubbly? Almost inevitably. Collect the "Ship-shape Dollar" for competing in various activities and the rewards are good and free. The more you go with Royal Caribbean the more give-aways and special offers you get if you belong to their "Crown and Anchor" loyalty club. It is one of the best if not the best for rewards. So the answer is to go more often to get the most. ... Neil.
Yes there is always a glass of chambers in the Auction. also there is free ice cream around the H02 zone most of the day. If you hae children it is worth purchasing the Soda Package at least one and then you can share the soft drinks, via a syphon system, no cans, all the cruise.
Agree with previous comment you must enrol for the Crown and Anchor, we are now up to 21 credits, and get an excellent free bar/and eats, alos a nice lounge to sit in during the day in the Diamond/Concierge Lounge, and it is one of the best we have found for rewarding past customers.
On the Captains Formal night there are usually free glasses of bubbles too. And as Neil says - sign up to C&A loyalty scheme and you will get your own welcome back party, and after 10 points you get into your own special room with an 'open' bar for 3 hrs every evening ...!!!!!
